Chart of Accounts Freeze Lifted 1st of March 2013

The Chart of Accounts freeze has been lifted. There are new forms that must be completed: http://www.fpg.unimelb.edu.au/fpg-res/internal/forms.html. Additional guidance can be found at http://www.fpg.unimelb.edu.au.

Themis Finance Users – Reporting Notice

Themis Finance reports have been impacted by the rebuilding of the general ledger natural account hierarchies over the 9th and 10th February 2013. It is requested that staff do not run any FSG or Discoverer reports until advised that they have been tested and reconciled. A list of reconciled reports will be published on the FPG website at http://www.fpg.unimelb.edu.au/pcp/internal/reporting.html.

Changes to the Chart of Accounts (COA)

From January 2013, your chart of accounts will be new and the way you manage your new chart has changed. An update to the Chart of Account Practice Guide is underway, refer to the Finance & Planning Group website for some guidance materials for Natural Accounts and Activity Codes.

Do you submit a timecard for payment?

If you submit a timecard, please check that you are entering the correct account string (account code) which may have changed as a result of changes being made to the University’s Chart of Accounts. For more information, ask your supervisor or finance officer in your budget division or refer to - http://tee-program.unimelb.edu.au/
