Getting Started with Themis

Creating a Themis Account

For new staff to the University of Melbourne you will be required to:

• Log into the Accounts Registration System and create a staff email account
• Wait 24 hours
• Log into the Accounts Registration System again and create a Themis account (called ThemisPROD)
  
• If you have difficulties remembering your details please phone 8344 0888 for assistance.

Note: You may need to wait up to 15-20 minutes before you can view your Themis Responsibilities.

Themis Responsibilties

Responsibilities are levels of access to the Themis system.  All staff are automatically granted:

• UOM Staff Self Service
• UOM Research Self Service
• UOM Supervisor Self Service (supervisors only)

To apply for additional responsibilities, complete and have authorised the Themis Responsibility Application Form and forward to Themis Service Desk.
Access to financial and timekeeper responsibilities require training in Themis prior to gaining access. Please view the Scheduled Courses for training dates in 2008.

Delegation and Authority

Staff who need to approve financial transactions within Themis will require a financial delegation of either $5,000 or $60,000.
To obtain a financial delegation and record a specimen signature, please complete the Financial Delegation and Signature Authority form available from the Financial Operations web site.
